ShopStyle

This month, ShopStyle are giving the opportunity to win designer handbags. So of course I couldn't not play - there is nothing better than the new leather smell of a designer bag! You basically do a short quiz to find your shopping personality, then enter your email at the end. Granted, it's to get a wider email audience, however I definitely won't regret it if a designer bag turns up at my door. What a perfect Christmas present!

My ShopStyle personality was "Opportunity Knocks", and this is the description:

"If there is one thing I hate, it's regret. I put on my game face when I see a fiery-red sale sign or the new release of a limited-edition collection, because it's now or never. When an opportunity presents itself, time is of the essence, and I strike. You can find me seated next to Rebecca Bloomwood at Shopaholics Anonymous."

It pretty much hit the nail on the head -- this is completely me! I just can't say no to a student sale these days.. Give it a go yourself here, the bags will be so worth it.

BLEACH London

So on Saturday I decided to jazz up my hair a bit, as I was off to an 18th/reunion night out now we're all back up north. I've used Bleach London before, last week to be exact. Last time I used the 'rose' colour, which was nice, however not a particularly strong colour.

I decided on the 'washed up mermaid' turquoise - to sort of match the velvet blue dress I wore. (I'm kind of into going all for it with one colour recently, it's a strange fashion phase).

This is the result I got from the 'washed up mermaid' colour.

It's pretty similar to the colour swatch on the bottle, and I really like it. I don't know anyone else with blue dip dyed hair.. despite being at a fashion uni. Reckon I'll definitely stock up on some more of this colour before I leave for London in the new year.

I've got 3 more colours of Bleach London to try, well, 2 along with the 'rose' pink colour. I'm yet to give 'washed out orange' and 'bruised violet' a whirl. I'm not sure how the orange will look, however I'm hoping for the Hayley Williams kinda style - just less full on!

The great thing about Bleach London is that they only last up to 10 washes, so it's not long before you can swap for a different colour. The instructions are to put it on in the shower after you've shampooed, however cause the dye doesn't damage your hair you can put it on before. I left mine on for an hour before I went in the shower - as the water on your hair will weaken the colour strength. Chances are I'll bleach the ends of my hair anyway, so the colour is more intense.
